Intrinsicness--What is an intrinsicness response to a disadvantage?
An intrinsicness response to a disadvantage argues that the disadvantage could be avoided by taking an action that would stop the disadvantage from occurring. For example, the affirmative plan subsidizes solar power. The negative disadvantage argues that subsidizing solar power will unemploy workers in the fossil fuel industry leaving them in poverty. The affirmative responds "Not intrinsic. We could provide new jobs or monetary compensation to workers so that they would not go into poverty."
