Intrinsicness--How do you respond to Intrinsic Response?
Against intrinsicness responses, negatives can argue the following:
1. intrinsicness arguments are abusive. The affirmative can take additional action to solve any disadvantage giving the negative no ground to debate. If we say the plan is costly, the aff just argue "we could get funding from a different source" etc.
2. intrinsicness arguments make the affirmative a moving target. The affirmative should stick with the position and plan text that they advocate in the 1ac. If not, the affirmative becomes a moving target that we can never apply our arguments to because it changes as soon as it applies.
3. the intrinsicness position would not solve the disadvantage. (explain why; for example, against the new jobs or monetary compensation argument, you could say that these workers would still be depressed about losing their careers in fossil fuels that they have been involved in most of their lives)
4. the intrinsicness position would be harmful. (explain why; for example, against the new jobs or monetary compensation argument, you could say that this would be costly)
